Mediation Process

Parenting arrangements & Parenting Plans

FDR helps families resolve disputes arising from separation or divorce without going to court. We mediate in a neutral and non-judgmental environment, assisting both parties in discussing their issues and reaching an agreement that serves the best interests of the children and the family.

Who It’s For: Separated couples, co-parents, extended family members.

Parenting arrangements can be one of the most emotionally charged issues following separation. Our mediators work with both parents to develop a practical and sustainable parenting plan that focuses on the best interests of the child. This process helps parents agree on matters such as custody, visitation schedules, decision-making, and other important parenting matters.

Who It’s For: Separated or divorced parents, co-parents, guardians.

Child Inclusive Practitioner Mediation

Financial Settlement Mediation

We offer child-inclusive mediation to give children a voice in decisions that impact them, ensuring their well-being and emotional needs are considered. This process allows children to express their feelings and preferences in a safe and age-appropriate manner, with the guidance of trained professionals.

Who It’s For: Parents who want to ensure their child’s needs and views are integrated into their parenting arrangements.

We help couples navigate the complexities of financial separation, providing a structured mediation process to divide assets, liabilities, and financial responsibilities fairly. Whether you're dealing with property settlements, superannuation splits, or other financial issues, we guide you toward a resolution that respects both parties’ needs, according to the four guiding principles, what are the assets and liabilities, what are the financial and non-financial contributions of the relationships, what are the future needs, and are the decisions fair, just and equitable?

Who It’s For: Individuals or couples undergoing separation or divorce, looking for equitable financial solutions.
